How it works from Queensferry

1. Start your case — Complete the recovery assessment form with what’s happened and what the drive is doing. We review every case properly before replying — you’ll get the likely pricing tier and clear next steps, with no obligation.

2. Get your drive to us — We’re at Tarran Industrial Estate in Moreton, about half an hour from Queensferry, so plenty of customers drop off in person by appointment. Prefer not to travel? We can arrange UPS door-to-door collection from anywhere in Queensferry for £14.95, or Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed from your local Post Office works just as well — tracked and signed for either way. Pack the drive in a box with plenty of bubble wrap — not a padded envelope.

3. Approve, recover, return — We assess the drive, confirm a firm quote, and only proceed once you approve it. Recovered data is returned on new media — collect it in person or have it delivered by tracked courier. If we can’t recover meaningful data, there’s no recovery fee.

Data recovery in Queensferry — common questions

Can I bring my drive to the lab from Queensferry?

Yes — we’re at Tarran Industrial Estate in Moreton on the Wirral, around half an hour from Queensferry, and you’re welcome to drop off and collect in person by appointment. Start with the recovery assessment form and we’ll arrange a time that suits; that way the right engineer is expecting your drive and it goes straight onto the bench.

Do you collect in Queensferry?

Yes — we can arrange UPS door-to-door collection from anywhere in Queensferry for £14.95, tracked and signed for. Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed from your local Post Office works just as well if that’s easier. Pack the drive in a box with plenty of bubble wrap — not a padded envelope.

Why use a dedicated recovery lab?

Genuine recovery laboratories are rare — much of the “data recovery” offered regionally is forwarded on to a lab like ours anyway. Coming to Dragon directly means your device is handled by the engineers actually doing the work, at the lab itself, from first contact to the moment your data is returned.

My RAID or NAS has failed — can you handle multi-drive systems?

Yes — RAID and NAS recovery is a core specialism of the lab. Power the system down, leave it down, and start with the recovery assessment form; rebuilding or re-initialising a degraded array is the most common way data gets destroyed before it reaches us.

How long does data recovery take?

Every case moves through the same three stages: assessment, a firm quote for your approval, then the recovery itself. Straightforward cases are often completed within days of approval, while mechanical failures can take longer — particularly where matching donor parts have to be sourced. If your case is time-critical, say so on the recovery assessment form — urgent cases can be prioritised.

What does it cost?

Logical recoveries start from £350 and mechanical recoveries from £450, both including VAT. RAID, NAS and complex cases are quoted individually. You’ll always receive a firm quote for approval before any chargeable work begins — and if we can’t recover meaningful data, there’s no recovery fee.
